Maßgeschneiderter Raum

Sichtschicht stellt begehbare pneumatische Räume für eine temporäre Nutzung her. Sie sind sowohl innen als auch außen einsetzbar.
Die Räume sind Einzelanfertigungen, sie werden speziell für den jeweiligen Ort entworfen. Die Farbe und der Grad der Lichtdurchlässigkeit ist frei wählbar.
Innerhalb kürzester Zeit (ca. 30 min.) lassen sich diese Raumobjekte durch die Verwendung von Hochleistungsgebläsen errichten. Im Winter kann dies mit Heiß- und im Sommer mit Kaltluft geschehen. Eben so schnell können sie auch wieder abgebaut werden, wenn Sie nicht mehr gebraucht werden.
Pneumatische Räume sind temporäre Strukturen, die das Leben im Territorium durch eine mittels Plastik und Luft realisierte Architektur neu definieren.
Durch die formelle Freiheit sind z.B. archaische oder zoomorphe Gebilde realisierbar, die in ihrer Form beliebig anpassbar bzw. erweiterungsfähig sind. Es handelt sich um eine plastische Architektur mit variablen Strukturen, im Einklang mit dem lokalen Kontext.
Der ursprünglich harte Raum wird durch das Wachsen des weichen pneumatischen Raumes Teil einer Metamorphose. Harter Raum wird verdrängt und somit zu Rest-Raum. Existierende Strukturen werden verändert und verfremdet; sie werden Teil einer Hybride und sind in ihrer ursprünglichen Form nicht mehr erkennbar. Wird zudem der Luftstrom aus dem Gebläse variiert, beginnt der Raum sogar von selbst zu pulsieren. Er wächst, hebt und senkt sich, wird zum atmenden Subjekt, er lebt und wird belebt.
Die aufgeblasene Plastik, die Trennhaut zwischen zwei Räumen, kann als Projektionsleinwand benutzt werden. Eine optische Überlagerung der realen Lichträume mit den virtuellen Projektionsräumen findet statt.
Durch die Überlagerung von öffentlichem und privatem, von existierendem und pneumatischem Raum, und von optischen, akustischen und sozialen Reizen, bildet Sichtschicht ein komplexes Klima einer neuen Landschaft.

Towards the creation of tailor made environments.

Sichtschicht realizes temporary pneumatic environments custom designed for unique events. By means of a fan they inflate and catch up their final shape in a minimal lapse of time (approximately 30 minutes). These can be planned for indoor, outdoor as well as a mix of both, with no shape limits, filled with cold air in summer and warm air in winter.
The inflated installations give shape to an "urban premiere" where the potential of a determined context is first shown, then enhanced and made public. Therefore are pneumatic spaces variable structures strongly related to the existing environment.
While the soft space inflates, the rigid sorrounding space becomes part of a metamorphosis: during this process the two modify and alienate from their original essence becoming parts of a hybrid, not more recognizable in their original shape.
They are also redifined by the public, which contributes through its presence and its action to a shift in the balance between them.
Operating variations on the amount of air that flows, the pneumatic space begins to pulse and it is transformed in a breathing, and thus living subject.
Pneumatic environments are made to be experienced outside as well as inside: this exterior/interior relationship affect the public, which, separated by the plastic boundaries, begins to play modifying and breaking down the spatial limits, trying to contact the one which is on the other side.
The pneumatic space is a space of inspiration for a playful experience.
The inflated surface – separating skin of two spaces – is also to be used as a projection screen. The projections distort on the amorphous surface of the pneumatic room, giving plasticity to the two-dimensionality of the images.
A wide range of light effects complete the visual impact of the installation.
Sichtschicht plays with the potential of urban context, revealing the existing from a new point of view, where the spaces can be analyzed and interpreted, occupied and lived in a different form for a limited time.
Through the superimposition of public and private, existing and pneumatic space, as well as the interaction of optical, acoustical and social aspects, the inflated installations originate a new multisensorial and multimedial landscape.

Sichtschicht crée des espaces éphémères. Il s’agit d’objets pneumatiques destinés à une utilisation temporaire à l’extérieur ou à l’intérieur.
Fabriqués sur commande, les objets sont spécifiquement conçus pour chaque site particulier. La couleur et la transparence du matériel sont variables.
L´objet se construit rapidement (ca. 30 min.) à l´aide d´un ventilateur à air chaud en hiver, à air froid en été. Après usage, l´objet se démonte tout aussi rapidement.
Structures temporaires, ces espaces pneumatiques redéfinissent la vie d’un territoire à travers une architecture d’air et de matière plastique qui s´adapte au contexte local grâce à ses formes variables et expansibles. Par sa souplesse et sa malléabilité, l’espace pneumatique fait subir à l’espace statique qui l’environne une véritable métamorphose par hybridation. La perception de l’espace existant s’en trouve modifiée.
La variation de la pression de l’air dans l’objet le fait pulser, gonfler, s’élever et s’abaisser au rythme d’une respiration : objet vivant, il est également animé par ses visiteurs.
La surface gonflée, qui fonctionne comme membrane entre deux espaces, peut également servir comme surface de projection.
Par la superposition de l´espace public et privé, existant et pneumatique, par les stimuli optiques, acoustiques et sociaux, Sichtschicht crée un nouveau paysage urbain.

Creazione di spazi su misura

Plastique Fantastique realizza strutture temporanee in plastica progettate su misura per un singolo luogo che, gonfiate con un ventilatore, raggiungono la loro forma finale in un tempo minimo (circa 30 minuti). Queste possono essere pensate per spazi interni, esterni, interni ed esterni senza limiti di forma, gonfiate con aria fredda d'estate e calda d'inverno.
Attraverso queste installazioni si pensa di dare forma a una „premiere urbana“ dove viene reso visibile il potenziale di un determinato spazio dividendolo, ampliandolo e/o fagocitandolo.
Gli spazi pneumatici sono strutture variabili in funzione del contesto locale.
Mentre lo spazio morbido si gonfia, lo spazio rigido esistente diventa parte di una metamorfosi: in questo processo le due strutture si modificano e si alienano, entrambe diventano parti di un ibrido e non sono più riconoscibili nella loro forma originaria. Gli spazi vengono reinterpretati dal pubblico che contribuisce con la sua presenza al mutamento di equilibri penetrando, consumando e dinamizzando gli spazi esistenti. Se poi si gioca variando il flusso d'aria del ventilatore, lo spazio pneumatico incomincia a pulsare, a salire e a scendere, si trasforma in soggetto che respira, che vive e che viene vissuto.
Lo spazio pneumatico è fatto per essere vissuto da fuori e da dentro: l'effetto esterno/interno si estende al pubblico che, separato dalla plastica, incomincia a giocare, modifica e scompone i limiti spaziali cercando chi sta dall'altra parte (interboding). Lo spazio pneumatico è spazio di ispirazione per un'esperienza ludica.
La plastica gonfiata - pelle divisoria di due spazi - è anche utilizzata come schermo per proiezioni, che si distorcono sulla superficie amorfa del pneumatico, dando plasticità alla bidimensionalità delle immagini. Si attua una addizione ottica tra le luci dello spazio reale e quello virtuale.
Plastique Fantastique gioca con la potenzialità degli interspazi nel territorio, mostra lo spettro dell'ambiente noto con una nuova prospettiva, attraverso la quale i luoghi possono essere analizzati ed interpretati, occupati e vissuti in una forma diversa per un tempo limitato.
Attraverso la sovrapposizione di spazio pubblico e privato, esistente e pneumatico, di aspetti ottici, acustici e sociali, gli spazi pneumatici originano e diventano parte di un nuovo paesaggio multisensoriale e multimediale.

Hacia la creación de espacios hechos a medida

Plastique Fantastique realiza estructuras neumáticas provisionales hechas a medida para eventos únicos. Con la ayuda de un ventilador estas estructuras neumáticas se inflan y alcanzan su forma final en un tiempo mínimo (aproximadamente 30 minutos). Las estructuras pueden estar tanto al exterior como en el interior, así como en una mezcla de los dos, sin límites de forma. Se llenan de aire frío en verano y de aire caliente en invierno.
Las instalaciones infladas dan forma a una “première urbana” donde el potencial de un contexto determinado es mostrado, después aumentado y finalmente hecho público. Los espacios neumáticos son unas estructuras variables fuertemente ligadas al contexto existente.
Mientras el espacio blando se infla, el espacio rígido que lo rodea forma parte de una metamorfosis: durante este proceso, las dos partes se modifican y se alienan de su forma original, convirtiéndose en híbrido, en el qual ya no se puede reconocer su forma original.
Estas estructuras son también redefinidas por el público, que contribuye con su presencia y su acción a una variación dentro del equilibrio del espacio. La operación cambia según la cantidad de aire que entra, el espacio neumático empieza a tener pulso, y se convierte en un sujeto que respira y que vive.
Las estructuras neumáticas están hechas para ser experimentadas tanto al exterior como al interior. Esta relación exterior/interior afecta al público, que separado por las fronteras del plástico, comienza a jugar modificando y descomponiendo los límites espaciales, intentado entrar en contacto con los que están a la otra parte. El espacio neumático es un espacio inspirado por una experiencia placentera.
La superficie inflada – la piel que separa los dos espacios- puede ser también utilizada como una pantalla de proyecciones. Las proyecciones se distorsionan en la superficie amorfa de la sala neumática, dando plasticidad a las dos dimensiones de la imagen. Un conjunto de efectos lumínicos completan el impacto visual de la instalación.
Plastique Fantastique juega con el potencial del contexto urbano, revelando la existencia de un nuevo punto de vista, donde los espacios pueden ser analizados e interpretados, ocupados y vividos de una manera diferente durante un tiempo limitado.
A través de la superposición de público y privado, del espacio real y del neumático, así como de la interacción de aspectos ópticos, acústicos y sociales, las instalaciones infladas crean un nuevo espacio multimediático y multisensorial.
